FRIDAY SCHEDULE: A CELEBRATION OF SOUND AND SENSE
8:45-9:00 am Finalize Registration, Mix and Mingle at Zion Park Lodge.
9-10:45 Workshop Part I – Generating Sound Sequences and Gathering Materials, instructions for the nature walk-and lunch time writing.
11 am-noon (Optional) Nature Walk with ZCFI Naturalist. We’ll explore the Grotto’s handicap accessible path to view the wonders of this beautiful area along the Virgin River. For those not wishing to take the Nature Walk-take your own walk or use this time to write poetry and remain in the Zion Park Lodge.
Noon-1pm LUNCH-Bring a sack lunch or enjoy eating at Zion Park Lodge’s Redrock Grill, visiting and individual writing time.
1-2:45 pm Workshop Part II – Blending the Sensible and the Surprising-using the materials we have generated and gathered during the workshop and our experiences in the park to write poems that will surprise and delight writers and audiences alike.
3-4 pm Sharing Circle-(Optional) share poems written.
