Tu, May 1st-DIXIE POETS Lesson by Mona Clark and critiques, 2-4 pm  at Senior Citizen Center  245 North 200 West in St. George in Conference room upstairs. Newcomers always welcome. Donation-$1 for use of the room. Meetings for June, July and August will be cancelled as many of us will be vacationing. Poets are invited to join an online critique group led by LaVerna Johnson. Sign up at the May 1st meeting. Next regular meeting after May 15th will be Sept 4th with a lesson by Bonnie Anderson-same time, same place.

Th, May 10th FREE POETRY READING at 2 pm at Washington County Library in Washington City. Come and enjoy sharing your poetry with others.

Th, May 17th REDROCK WRITERS poetry group will meet at Markay Brown’s home at 7 pm, email FIRST before coming and check with Markay FIRST before attending their meetings during the summer. <nadbmarb@gmail.com>  All welcome.

Tu, May 15th from 2-4 pm DIXIE POETS at St. George Sr. Citizen Center. Critiques-bring 10-12 copies of 1-2 poems for helpful suggestions from the group.

Th, May 24th at 7 pm POETRY JAM at St. George Art Museum 7 pm. Free. Continues on 4th Th of each month except June. Contact Alicia Lockwood for more info.

May 31-June 3  National Federation of State Poetry Societies annual conference MOUNTAIN HIGH POETRY will be held in Denver Colorado this year. Register by May 10, see details  http://www.nfsps.com/NFSPSContestBrochure.pdf 

June 30 Annual UTSPS PANORAMA 2018  Currently paid UTSPS members may submit up to 3 poems for consideration.  Electronic submissions are preferred. Send submissions to Panorama.utsps@gmail.com either in the body of the email or in .doc  .docs or .odt format. DO NOT submit in PDF format. This type of file can not be considered. If you don't have email capabilities, you may send hard copies to Jennifer Asplund, 2278 East 1200 North, Layton UT 84040.
PANORAMA 2017 will be mailed out in May to those who paid their dues in 2017.
