OCTOBER is here, believe it or not!

2014Tues, Oct 7, 2-4 pm DIXIE POETS in the Santa Clara Public Library. Lesson by Christine Provstgaard. Critiques-bring 8-10 copies of 1-2 poems for helpful suggestions from the group. New people always welcome.

Tues, Oct 21, 2-4 pm DIXIE POETS at the St. George Library hopefully,  critiques-bring 8-10 copies of 1-2 poems for helpful suggestions from the group. New poets always welcome.

Thurs, Oct 23, 7-9 pm REDROCK WRITERS poetry group will meet at Markay Brown's for critiques, for more info email including location

      Mon, Oct 20-Author Palooza at Barnes & Noble bookstore 7-8 pm
featuring Dean Hughes and other notes local authors.

      Fri, Oct 24-Writer's Journey-One-day Writing Workshop at DSU 
9am-5pm, free, box lunch available for $15 at Holland Bldg-4th floor.

      Fri, Oct 24 Book & Author Dinner Donation-$40 adults with benefits to WCSD Foundation and St. George Children's Museum at the museum 
4thfloor at 6 pm. UTSPS Poet of the Year Joyce Kohler will be there.

      Sat, Oct 25, AUTHOR EXPO-books for sale, 10am-Youth Poetry Contest program winners will read at 10 am and Joyce Kohler will read from her winning book and discuss it at 11 am Dancing with Your Inner Poet. Come support this worthwhile activity. 

St. George Book Festival will feature 2014 UTSPS-UTAH POET of the YEAR Joyce Webb Kohler from Midway, Utah  to present prizes for the Youth Poetry Contest  at 10 am and then talk to our local poets on the topic of "Dancing with Your Inner Poet." Free to the public on Sat Oct 25th at the Children's Museum upstairs ballroom-elevator available at back of building on the corner of 1st South and Tabernacle.
